Symptoms usually clear on withdrawal of vitamins . Drug interactions : - Absorption of vitamin A from the G.I.T may be reduced by the presence of neomycin , colestyramine or liquid paraffin . There is an increased risk of hypervitaminosis A if vitamin A is given with synthetic retinoids . Pyridoxine reduces the effects of levodopa and altretamine There is an increased risk of hypercalcaemia if vitamin D is given with thiazide diuretics and calcium .
