Each 5 ml contains :
Vitamin A 5000 I.U
Vitamin D2 1000 I.U
Vitamin C 50 mg
Vitamin E 2.5 mg
Vitamin B1 1.5 mg
Vitamin B2 1.5 mg
Vitamin B6 1.0 mg
Nicotinamide 12.5 mg Properties :
Fruital syrup is prepared in a well balanced formula of multivitamins which are required for the maintenance of the vital metabolic processes of normal health and for the treatment and prevention of deficiency states in young age. Indications &usage :
- Vitamins replacement therapy in deficiency states .
- When dietary intake of vitamins is inadequate .
- When there is an increased demands for vitamins as in growing children ,
chronic diseases , infections , convalescence , underweight and debility
states . Contra-indications :
Hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation . Side effects :
Excessive dosage of vitamins A , D and nicotinamide may lead to hypervitaminosis . Symptoms usually clear on withdrawal of vitamins . Drug interactions :
- Absorption of vitamin A from the G.I.T may be reduced by the presence of
neomycin , colestyramine or liquid paraffin .
There is an increased risk of hypervitaminosis A if vitamin A is given with synthetic retinoids .
Pyridoxine reduces the effects of levodopa and altretamine.
There is an increased risk of hypercalcaemia if vitamin D is given with thiazide diuretic and calcium . Warning & precautions :
As with all vitamins preparations, parents should be cautioned against excessive dosage. Used cautiously in diabetic patient.
Dosage &administration :
Adult and child over 12 years 2.5 ml daily
Child 4-12 years 2ml daily
Child 1-4 years 1.5 ml daily .
