Zora C Lozenges Disinfectant and antibacterial Pharyngeal preparation Composition : Each lozenge contains: Benzalkonium chloride 0.001 ml. Benzocaine 1 mg. Vitamin C 50 mg. Properties: Zora C lozenges are characterized by a high antibacterial power against many Gram positive and Gram negative organisms due to the action of benzalkonium chloride. The presence of benzocaine provides the lozenges with an anesthetic action , so it is used to relieve pain arising from lacerations of the tongue or cheek, acute pharyngitis , tonsillectomy or carcinoma of the mouth. The addition of vitamin C promotes healing of the mucous membrane of bleeding gums and tongue . Indications & usage : Disinfectant for mouth and throat . Prophylaxis and therapy of bacterial infections of mouth and throat, particularly pharyngitis , tracheaitis or tonsillitis . Side effects: Hypersensitivity reactions are very rare . Warnings & precautions : Like any drug Zora C lozenges should not be prescribed to pregnant women specially in the first 3 months . Dosage & administration : Adults : 4-6 lozenges daily . Children :1/2 lozenge 3-6 times daily according to age . Packing : Box contains 20 lozeneges. |
